We will leave the Bungalow Motel at 8:00 am to begin our 1.5 hour drive along the Chilliwack River and up Chipmunk Valley.

The drive will take us to the trailhead in the Spoon Valley, where the action begins. You will hike above the timber line, in alpine meadows filled with wild flowers; you may see bear or Mountain Goat as you wander along a well defined trail heading up the south side of Mt. Cheam. As you approach the summit, the beautiful Fraser Valley unfolds itself and you will forget about the hectic lifestyle we lead.

You can lay back and relax in the mountain air. As you take in the silent beauty of the peak of Mt. Cheam, a hearty luncheon will be prepared for you to enjoy along with the spectacular view. After a leisurely lunch, we will hike back to the truck and will return to Harrison Hot Springs by approximately 6:30 pm.

This hike requires a moderate level of fitness and includes high altitude hiking.
